GLC Life Groups are small groups held in homes and in the Great Room located next to the church. Life groups are more than getting together to reflect on our faith. They are a launching pad to make life long relationships and to be a reflection of Christ to the world around us.

In John 10:10 "Jesus said, I have come to give you life and life more abundantly."  Jesus doesn't want you to "just get by," He wants you to have a blessed life, a life filled with joy, fulfillment and purpose.  At Greater Life Church, we help people connect with God and inspire them to go to new levels in thier relationship with Jesus Christ. 

Worship
You are invited to join in and sing, or just listen, reflect and enjoy the music.  As you worship, think upon the many great things God has done in your life.  As you sing of His greatness, give God all your worries and cast your cares upon Him.  Participating in singing helps you focus on how big God is, instead of the challenges in your life.  Our worship can also be expressed by clapping (Psalm 47:1) and lifting of hands (Psalm 63:4).  It's a time to thank God for all that He has done and all that He has yet to do.

Tithes and Offerings
You'll have an opportunity to contribute if you would like.  The Bible says that our giving is a form of worship.  It's honoring to God with "the first fruits that He has given us."  You'll discover God isn't trying to take something from you, He's trying to get something to you.  You'll experience His blessing whenever you give. (Malachi 3:10).

The Teaching
When Jesus taught, He often used illustrations from the current culture to help people understand God's Word and expectations.  That's why at Greater Life Church the Sunday messages address relevant issues and how to apply God's Word to your everyday life.

The Call
"Is your heart right with God?"  At some time in everyone's life they will stand before God and give an account for their life.  At the end of each service you'll have an opportunity to respond and ask Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior.  Just knowing God exists isn't enough.  Romans 10:9 says, if you ask Jesus into your heart and believe He is the Son of God, you will be saved.  True peace, joy and purpose come from asking God into your life and building an intimate relationship with Him daily.  If you have any doubt, today you can know for sure... discover, there is more to life!!!

   Pastor Alan and Beth Verhagen
  
In September 2011, Pastors Alan and Beth became the leaders of Greater Life Church.  They were involved in ministry at Resurrection Life Church - Cadillac since 2005.  In 2011, Pastors Jeff and Dina Hackert were called by God to move to Kentucky.  They approached Pastor Alan and Beth to continue the vision that God had given them for Greater Life Church, to which they agreed.  Pastors Jeff and Dina have followed God's direction and transitioned the church in September 2011. 

Pastors Alan and Beth were born and raised in Wisconsin.  They have been married since 1998 and are blessed with two wonderful children, Spencer and Sloane.

Over their years of marriage, Alan and Beth have lived in several different states, including, Maine, Minnesota and Oklahoma.  It was while they lived in Minnesota in 2001 that they encountered the one true Living God and have been in pursuit of Him ever since.  Their desire is that everyone would come to experience and know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, to find and fulfill their God given purpose and passion and to walk in freedom from their past pains and hurts.

Getting Connected at Greater LIFE Church  -  We offer a series of classes to help you get involved at Greater LIFE Church.  Every Sunday at 1:00 pm, in the Great Room next door to Greater LIFE Church, learn more about the church, more about who God is and more about who God has created you to be.  There is no need to sign up and child care is available. 

CONNECT 101
This class is a basic introduction to the ministry of Greater LIFE Church and will help you understand church partnership.  Connect 101 is on the first Sunday at 1:00 pm in the Great Room.

ESSENTIALS 201
This class will help guide you through the essential beliefs that every believer needs to become a fully devoted follower of Christ. Essential 201 is held on the second Sunday at 1:00 pm in the Great Room.

PASSION 301
We want to help you realize what makes you so unique.  This class will help you discover your personality, gifts and purpose in life and see how God combines them for the best fit in ministry.  Passion 301 takes place the third Sunday at 1:00 pm in the Great Room.

DREAM TEAM 401
Attend an orientation or training session in the ministry area of your choice to learn more about how to be involved or to join the Dream Team.  Dream Team 401 will take place on the fourth Sunday at 1:00 pm in the Great Room.
